I just starting on remediating some old epub 2 files, and while some are going to be important enough to go through and add page numbers, some are just not worth the extra work.
What do you think of this for a book that is fully accessible except for the missing pagelist:
<meta property="schema:accessibilitySummary">This publication conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA except for missing pagelist.</meta>
Obviously deleting the printPageNumbers feature…
Although I have to say I am still unclear on the differences in the various levels of WCAG as they apply to epubs. Any guidance would be appreciated…

Hi BTK,
Thank you for your question!
The accessibility summary you’ve written should be fine in this case!
Currently, accessible EPUBs require compliance with WCAG 2.1 level A as well as AA. Here is a helpful article on the APLN about the different A and AA standards: https://apln.ca/web-accessibility-standards-requirements-legislation-including-wcag/
Hope this is helpful! Please let me know if you have further questions.
